This one-day workshop brings together the researchers from the University of Birmingham's A Global History of Monoculture project, funded by the ERC and led by Professor Frank Uekotter, and those of From Collection to Cultivation, to discuss the history of global industrial agriculture. The research teams will be joined by visiting scholars Xan Chacko (Brown University) and Susannah Chapman (University of Queensland) and University of Cambridge scholar Joeva Rock.
